Integrative Psychiatry

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is a mental health treatment for people who suffer repeated bouts of depression and chronic unhappiness. MBCT has been proven effective in reducing rates of relapse of major depression by enabling increased self-awareness and ability to gain freedom from negative beliefs and habits of thinking to be more present for enjoyment of life.

Positive psychology is focused on the developments of increased engagement and personal strengths to facilitate increased well-being, purpose and happiness in one's life.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy focuses on increasing understanding the underlying psychological processes that influence thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a mental health treatment designed to help people recognize and change thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes that underlie their symptoms and develop personal coping strategies for current problems.

All forms of mental health treatment should provide a safe and supportive environment to explore thoughts and feelings, leading to enhanced self-awareness, better coping strategies and  improved emotional well-being.

Dr Fischer may also provide pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions to support the psychotherapy and mental health treatment you are already be engaged in.
